Welcome to Kindergarten!
Thank you for entrusting me with the awesome privilege of being your child’s teacher. I respect any apprehension or ambivalence you may have as we begin a new school year full of changes and unknowns due to COVID-19. I appreciate your faith and trust in me as we face these new challenges in education together. This is my 14th year teaching and 5th year at Crescent Harbor Elementary School. My mission as a teacher is to help children discover the joy of learning and to help each child develop a strong belief in his/her own ability. I want them to do their best at all times and to have a sense of pride in doing their personal best. It is also important to me that my students appreciate and respect other people’s differences.
Kindergarten is a special time for children and parents. It is an important milestone in a child’s development and road to becoming more independent. We will work on social skills, literacy skills (reading and writing skills), math skills and problem-solving skills.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year and helping him/her to achieve his/her full potential by setting high expectations for each individual child. This year will be an exciting year full of hard work, fun, and growth!
