Hi, I'm Chad Martin. I've been lucky enough to live on beautiful Whidbey Island since 1979. This is my twelfth year teaching fourth grade at Olympic View Elementary School, and I really enjoy helping my students on their journey to becoming life-long learners. I feel very fortunate to work with such a talented staff, wonderful families, and most of all, fantastic students! I work hard to create an inviting, supportive environment where my students can embrace the learning process. My goal is for your student to love coming to class!
Before becoming a teacher I worked as a craftsman building custom furniture and cabinetry for 13 years. My wife and I live on the south end of the island in Langley with our German Shepherd Gunther. I have an eighteen-year-old daughter, Clare, who has just started at the University of Washington. When I'm not at school I can usually be found cycling on the roads and trails, photographing wildlife, and spending time with my family.
