Hi, my name is Amy Coleman.  I live on our gorgeous island with my husband, Jim, and dog, Coco. Our children graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 2012 and 2015. I am also blessed as my grandsons (I have 2 of them) were able to attend OVE for a short time!! This is my second HOME.

I have been teaching for over 20 years, and this is my 17th year right here at Olympic View Elementary! I have taught 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  For the last several years, I have been so lucky... Let me tell you why-I get to teach reading to students all the time! The best thing about my job is that I get to teach and learn with so many students, and I get to meet and see all of our Orcas! What I love the most about teaching is seeing all students learn and grow in so many ways.  I love the relationships I get to develop, and my FAVORITE thing is when my prior students come back to visit, email, or call and tell me things they remember from our time together.
