Eat soup, keep the bowl,
help fight hunger on Whidbey Island
Bowl-making was in high gear during Pottery X classes this week at OHHS. Students are creating 200 bowls for the 2012 Empty Bowls Fundraiser to be held March 22, from 5-7 pm, in the Student Union Building. Diners will be served soup of their choice and crusty bread prepared by the nationally-acclaimed OHHS culinary arts students and served in ceramic bowls created and glazed by the OHHS Pottery X class. When you’re done with the soup, you get to keep the bowl. All proceeds from the dinner will go to the Whidbey Island Food Bank to fight hunger in our community.
