Art School honors OHHS culinary program
The Pacific NorthWest Art School, although known for its exceptional visual arts education, also is supporting the emerging culinary artists in the Oak Harbor High School Culinary Arts Program. On January 6, 2011, the Pacific NorthWest Art School presented a check in the amount of $500 to Louise Reuble, Coordinator and Instructor for the OHHS Culinary Arts program.
The Art School held its annual Christmas Gala this past December at Frasers Gourmet Hideaway and had pledged to donate some of the proceeds from their event to the students of this worthwhile endeavor. Sue Symons, Executive Director, said "The dessert featured at the Gala was an award winning creation of the OHHS Culinary Arts students, under the guidance of Chef Scott Fraser. The Gala was a tremendous opportunity to receive the support of our community and this donation is one way we can say thank you." The Pacific NorthWest Art School has been offering exceptional visual arts education for the past twenty five years and is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.
The Pacific NorthWest Art School has been offering for 25 years exceptional visual arts education in the mediums of photography, painting and fibers arts, taught by a professional faculty for artists who strive to hone their artistic skills. ----
