The Oak Harbor School District provides programs for students with identified disabilities.
The District seeks to locate young people from birth to age 21 who are not currently enrolled
in school and may need special education services.
The screening is offered at no cost and provided for children from 3 years of age to entering Kindergarten.
The screening itself takes approximately 1 to 1½ hours to complete. During this time, children will be given a free vision, hearing, speech, language and developmental check.
While their child is being screened, parents will be asked to provide general information on their child's development. Their child's baby book or calendar may be helpful to parents in answering some of the questions. Results will be provided to the parents after their child's screening has been completed.
An appointment is required for Child Find Preschool Screening. For more information or to schedule a screening appointment, parents should call the Hand-In-Hand Early Learning Center at 279-5928 or e-mail email@example.com.
