Hand-In-Hand Early Learning Center / Toddler Learning Center
Children ages 0-5 found to have developmental delays can be enrolled in programs to help them catch up before they begin school as kindergarteners.
Hand-In-Hand Learning Center is a cooperative program between the school district and the federal Head Start program to give preschoolers an early start in education. The school district preschool program works with qualifying children identified to have developmental delay. The Head Start program works with children from low-income families.
Children are evaluated (see Child Find) and if found to have developmental delays will receive services such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language development, and cognitive skill development.
Contact the Hand-In-Hand Learning Center at 279-5928 or write to ramstrong@ohsd.net.
Programs for children up to 36 months in age are provided through contracted services at the Toddler Learning Center.
