HomeConnection is built on the belief that parents have the ultimate responsibility for their child's education and are their primary teachers. Our mission is to build a partnership with families to enrich each child's experience.

Each year, about 200 students and their parent-teachers join together to pool their resources. Enrolled families have access to educationally-enriching opportunities, developed with experienced educators who believe in home-based education. They share resources and responsibilities with other parents who have common educational goals and values. Parents and other professionals who are experts in their fields, teach classes. HomeConnection provides home-based students with access to the district's wide resources, including the use of computers and programs to enhance learning. Each family works with an advisor to set goals, select resources and assess educational growth and progress.

For children age 8 and older, parents must have completed a minimum of 90 days of home schooling prior to admission.
